Here are some of the tips, if you follow these tips you will be able to get higher score in you IELTS writing task.
Tip 1: Avoid repeating words from the question in your essay
Instead of the word "people", the student used the word "subscribers" in his/her answer.
The word "user" could be another option.
Instead of the phrase "selected countries", the student used the phrase "countries from Europe and North America".
Instead of the phrase "land lines", the student used the phrase "fixed lines".
The student will get more points because the examiner will notice he used new words (vocabulary) and avoid repeating words from the question.
3. You have to describe the most relevant information of the graphic: In the second paragraph you have to highlight the information so you need to show your command of prepositions, adverbs, adjectives and verbs. For example, you can ask yourself: What country has more mobiles phones users? What country has the lowest numbers of landlines users? Another interesting question could be: Do the North American countries have more mobile phones subscribers than the European countries?
Tip 2: Classify the information by groups
In this example, the student wrote two paragraph in the body of his/her essay. One paragraph for mobiles phone users and another paragraph for landlines subscribers. Then he highlighted the information in each one.
The student will get more points because the examiner will notice he can understand and summarize information and not only describing data.
That is it guys! I hope this example can help you and if you still have any question just send me an email o write a comment.
